Among the many large-screen display products, LCD splicing screens and LED displays are two more common products. The two have both similarities and differences. So, what are the differences between LCD splicing screens and LED displays? Let’s take a closer look.

1. Display technology difference
The LCD splicing screen uses LCD backlight technology, which is the same as home TV, but the resolution is usually 1920*1080. Currently, home TV has reached 4K 3840*2160.
LED display is a light-emitting diode technology, which uses three primary color lamp beads to encapsulate into pixels for display. Our common traffic lights, billboards, etc. are all LED displays.
2. Clarity difference
LED display screen has a lower resolution in general. Although the small-pitch products will perform better, they are still not superior to LCD splicing screens. This is because it is composed of individual lamp beads, so the resolution is related to the lamp spacing. If you look closely at the screen, there will be a sense of graininess, and the font will be composed of small squares. This is the reason for the low resolution.
The resolution of the Yejing splicing screen is high. The resolution of a single screen can reach 1920*1080, and the resolution can be superimposed, so we can see that the image displayed on the LCD splicing screen is clearer.
3. Difference in seams
The advantage of LED display is that there is no seam, unlike LCD splicing screens with black edges. After splicing, the entire screen is very complete and has better integrity. However, there will be a seam between the two screens of the LCD splicing screen, which varies from a few millimeters to a minimum of 0.88mm, which will have a slight effect when displaying the entire screen.
4. Differences in application scenarios
Due to its own technology, LCD splicing screens are mainly used in areas that require high-definition display and can achieve multiple functions such as splicing and segmentation, such as product exhibition halls, conference rooms, news broadcasting stations, monitoring centers, etc. LEDs are mainly used in outdoor plazas, shopping mall conference halls, etc. for long-distance viewing.
5. Difference in installation environment
Since LCD itself is not waterproof, it is mainly used indoors, while LED can be used in various occasions, both indoors and outdoors.
The differences between LED display and LCD splicing screen are mainly the above-mentioned differences in technology and display effect, so the differences are still relatively large. When choosing a display device, you can choose according to multiple standards such as purpose, viewing distance, installation occasion, etc.
